Now that the Christmas rush is over for me, I can share my own little one. I decided against a family pic this year - being pregnant - I am just not in the mood for pics of myself :) hehe

So this mom wanted this little guy's 1st birthday cake pics to look similar to brothers that was taken 4 years ago with a white backdrop, well I don't own a white backdrop so we searched around the house for something that could work. Then I noticed the white cabinets in her kitchen and perfect for me - close to the back door - and they worked GREAT!! I love the way they turned out - And I know mom thinks so too :)
I just loved this shot.
And I added a peek of 2 of my FAVORITE 2 yr olds - well one is my own so I am a little partial :)

Ava - she is just too precious for words and I was SO excited that she fell asleep at the end and was so perfectly content, but not until after I got her Amazing eyes!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those eyes :)

So I have had power back for over 2 weeks now and haven't slowed down. I do have to admit it was nice for a bit (well when the weather was nice or when we left for College Station and the Hyatt Hill Country) to enjoy quality time with my hubby and daughter and friends. But as soon as the electricity came back on, we were all back to our crazy routine. And now for LOTS of holiday pics.

I saw this little 1 year old in the spring and again last week. And I will get to watch him grow throughout the next year too - he is a year of giggles boy. And I look forward to many sessions with him and his super sweet mommy!

My husband was singing Christmas songs the other morning at breakfast and telling my little girl about how much fun we are going to have watching Rudolph, and it totally got me in the Christmas mood. So that got me thinking about a fun special for all of you.

Couldn't pass this up for my little gigglebox - she is constantly laughing and smiling, until I get the camera out, but now that she is almost 2, she will smile for me and say cheese (not sure where she learned that...but I think her daddy taught her) once out of every 100 pictures :) But I just love all of her looks - that is totally who she is in the second picture!
and check out her rosy cheeks - she gets those from her momma after playing outside for just a few minutes :( sorry sweet girl....

After a long car ride in from Louisiana, this very calm and patient mom, dad and grandma attempted a session before their doctors appt. But this 3 month old and 18 month old had much different plans. I told mom not to give up completely on sessions and she told me I might decide to change careers after her kids, but I promise it will get easier and I have had AND will have worse - those are very hard ages, and together, almost impossible. But here are two I know she will LOVE!
I have more coming, but I wanted this mommy to see these now!

Another travel spot I just went to was the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio. I didn't get to stay there myself this time, but since this will be an annual trip for this family, I will make sure I can add a few days there for my family - it looks FABULOUS!!
And this cousins shot - LOVE IT! They will have so many great memories together throughout the years and I just captured one for them!

When I got my first request to travel, she didn't have to twist my arm - it was to one of me and my husbands favorite places - College Station! So a Sunday afternoon there was not work!!!
And I'll be heading back to College Station in the next few months for Christmas pictures and again for some newborn shots in the new year if you are interested in a session there, let me know and we will figure out a good date for the Fall - maybe a football weekend!
And I would love to do more. If you can get a few sessions in your location, you can split the travel cost and we can all have a fun afternoon around your home or favorite park.
I just love the idea of the trash the wedding dress!!! I just don't know if I could do it to my own, but I thought having little girls trash their dress would be cute and fun and boy would they LOVE it.
This spunky 3 year old was so fun and playful so it wasn't hard to get all those cute shots, and for cooperating so well, her Aunt let her go swim after our session and I couldn't pass that up. She barely got her dress off, and I just love that the bloomers and hair bow are still in tact. So next time your little girl takes those Easter, Christmas or Birthday dress pictures, and if you have no other plans for that dress after, playing in the water, a sprinkler, hose or pool after the real pictures would be so CUTE!!!

This almost 2 year old was so cute and sweet to play with and like most toddlers, all over the place. And beautiful at that. I just love her bright brown eyes and curly hair to match!!

Many of my clients have said they don't know where to go for better quality enlargement prints. They don't want to go to CVS or order through Shutterfly, etc. And my recommendations have been that you can either order through Kingwood Photo lab (an excellent local lab), mpix.com (which is a very good on line lab) and now me. I use an on line professional lab that prints GREAT quality prints and enlargements.

I made this super GORGEOUS couple take this very cheese shot for me. She is from Chicago and he is from Omaha - and they just recently moved to Houston but are heading back to Chicago for the BIG day - a New Year's Eve wedding.
