A custom family photo session is a rare indulgence and something everyone should experience at least once. A session with me is fun, relaxed, natural, and freeing. Don't expect to have to sit through stiff, super-posed shots. Instead, I like to set the stage and then let the characters play so that images are real, spontaneous, and fresh. From coordinating your session day, to our adventures at the session itself, to the hours spent in my digital darkroom hand-processing each image, the experience is customized just for you. When you invest in a session with me, you deserve my full focus and attention toward making sure you get the kind of images you have pictured in your heart and hopefully, a few extra surprises, too.
My sessions can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are ideal for newborns, younger babies, larger families, and those who want to have a relaxed, customized photographic experience. The images you purchase as part of your digital collection will receive full retouching and enhancement (like the kind of images you see in my galleries) and are full resolution files.
Investment
The Creative Fee for a Premium session is $450 and covers time/talent and all Images on a CD or Flash Drive and 3 prints - 1 11*14 and 2 8*10s or smaller.
My digital philosophy
Custom photography *is* an investment and I understand that this can be a big decision for your family. You shouldn't have to agonize over a 5×7 vs. an 8×10. You should have ALL of the images in your gallery...forever. You should be able to come back to your CD years down the road and see something you didn't even realize you wanted to remember forever. This is why instead of prints, I sell digital collections on CD. I will provide complete details on how/where to print your images on CD, so there's no need to be nervous about dealing with the files. You always have the option to purchase boutique items as well: gallery wrap canvases, enlargements, albums, books, storyboards, etc.

Typically, our sessions fall into one or a combination of the following categories:
At Home
Sessions at home tend to be more intimate, relaxed, and more personal. They're the perfect setting for all kinds of sessions, but especially ideal for families with babies or toddlers (this is the only location option for newborns). Your home doesn't have to look like a Pottery Barn catalog...it should reflect you, imperfections at all. You will be surprised with what we can do at home!
Urban and/or Downtown Houston
I love weaving Houston into family photo sessions and urban locations work great for seniors, families with older children, couples and engagements, or those that want their images to have a funky, hip flare. Urban doesn't necessarily have to mean grungy: think texture, color, and architecture.
Natural
Houston has such a unique blend of natural settings. An open field with a brilliant blue sky, a patch of wildflowers, a lush park all make great locations for a photo session and I have several go-to spots that make beautiful settings for your images.
Date, Time, What to Wear, Etc.
Upon booking your session, I will provide plenty of information on how to prepare, what to wear, etc. We'll set up the session date, time, and location together and discuss your vision for the session.
