I just totally LOVE finding things around my client’s home to use…so neat to think that someday he’ll look back on this and know that was in the house where he grew up and has been in his family for generations. And this family was so sweet and fun to spend an afternoon with and dad is a Kingwood native living in the Heights (but moving a little closer to the burbs now that his first little guy is here :) Isn't he SO handsome. LOVE his coloring and bright brown eyes -SO SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

so this mom can rest knowing we got one of each.

After a long car ride in from Louisiana, this very calm and patient mom, dad and grandma attempted a session before their doctors appt. But this 3 month old and 18 month old had much different plans. I told mom not to give up completely on sessions and she told me I might decide to change careers after her kids, but I promise it will get easier and I have had AND will have worse - those are very hard ages, and together, almost impossible. But here are two I know she will LOVE!

I have more coming, but I wanted this mommy to see these now!

Another travel spot I just went to was the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio. I didn't get to stay there myself this time, but since this will be an annual trip for this family, I will make sure I can add a few days there for my family - it looks FABULOUS!!

And this cousins shot - LOVE IT! They will have so many great memories together throughout the years and I just captured one for them!

and I travel too.

When I got my first request to travel, she didn't have to twist my arm - it was to one of me and my husbands favorite places - College Station! So a Sunday afternoon there was not work!!!

And I'll be heading back to College Station in the next few months for Christmas pictures and again for some newborn shots in the new year if you are interested in a session there, let me know and we will figure out a good date for the Fall - maybe a football weekend!

And I would love to do more. If you can get a few sessions in your location, you can split the travel cost and we can all have a fun afternoon around your home or favorite park.

This almost 2 year old was so cute and sweet to play with and like most toddlers, all over the place. And beautiful at that. I just love her bright brown eyes and curly hair to match!!

I made this super GORGEOUS couple take this very cheese shot for me. She is from Chicago and he is from Omaha - and they just recently moved to Houston but are heading back to Chicago for the BIG day - a New Year's Eve wedding.

And wouldn't this make the cutest just moved card.

well he finally arrived, a little late, but he made sure it was still a BIG day. He came out weighing 9lbs 10oz and over 22" long.

And here he is at 11 days old. He was so sweet during our session and showed off his BEAUTIFUL blue eyes.

Why I love children's photography.

Children are so erratic, so up and down, and the best thing is that they don’t really fake their emotions. This beautiful image was one of the very first images from their session in Herman Park.

Don't you just wonder what she was thinking about.....with such innocence and TRUE, real beauty!

And little sis takes after with the flawless looks and STUNNING blue eyes.

We didn't get many smiles from these two divas this time, but the few we did were BIG GIGGLY ONES ~ Thanks mom for coming to play again :)

Since starting Pickles to Giggles in August of last year, I have had some of the BEST clients AND they come back, which couldn't make me happier and help me realize this IS what I am to be doing. I have seen this little guy 3 times since August, and I can't thank his mommy enough for believing in me and helping me get started! As I prepare for my sessions, I always like to have an idea in my head of what some poses may look like or be like, but I LOVE IT when I get a family like this....and the perfect poses aren't necessary - they make every picture look great with their personality alone!
