this is definitely the year of boys.

The boys are totally taking over - I have had so many more boy newborns this year than girls!! And here is another one to warm your heart.

This little guy is just the sweetest boy ever!! And his mom and dad are completely head over heels in love with him...and rightfully so! He is pretty amazing!!

From the looks of his peek, he seems super sleepy....but that actually wasn't the case at all! He loved to be held...so we have quite a few in mommy and daddy's arms! Some of my favorites!!

Enjoy!! I know daddy is missing his baby boy since he had to go back to work today -  but I'm sure he is loving looking through these and showing off his handsome fella.

And handsome big brother again!! And you totally can't tell by the looks of this shot...but he is actually not too thrilled about have a new little man around HIS house. But I know he will be soon when he has a live-in buddy to play with!!

and you won't believe me when I tell you, he is actually 4 weeks old! He was in such a good mood and easier than some 8 day olds I have had!!

This was one of those sessions where I left and couldn't wait to scan through the images in my car, so I did, in the Target parking lot...I just knew I was gonna love them all!! And I do...which makes this peek a tad bit overloaded...and I could have shared a billion more fabulous ones, but I needed to leave a little surprise for mom when she gets her flash drive!

Little 'O' was awake just long enough to give me those bright eyes, then was happy to sleep, well he was easy to get back to sleep with a little paci time. But he and big brother were so fun and easy to capture - such an amazing family!! I definitely left this session with some new favorite people :) Mom is just the sweetest and so laid back with her boys...and check out that gorgeous smile of hers...she is over the moon in love with them!

and get out your measuring tape, I swear these are by far the longest lashes I have seen to date.

I am going to have to let these AMAZING pictures do the talking of how incredibly adorable this little guy and his parents are. I am laid up in bed trying to crank out these sessions.

I have a double ear infection and both eardrums ruptured from my flight home from Denver Monday night - so I am in PAIN. And in need of a nap now....

ok - is it possible?? I adore this family more and more after every session...I think we are on session 7 now :) And it just keeps getting better. Baby Hudson was a dream for his session - he kept his eyes open for some good eye contact, then closed them and fell off to dreamland so we could play :)

I just LOVE looking through their session - we have a million great shots but what I love most are all of the things we did to make their pictures even more special to them!!!  keep scrolling down to see..

mom and dad saw this next shot on Tara Whitney's site - she is fabulous - I want her to take my family pics - she takes tons of famous photogs pics - 2 of which have mentored ME - Patti Schmidt and Audrey Woulard :) And the VIDEOS on her site.... check them out - they are to die for!! Got to do this!! But back to this shot - it turned out PERFECT - I LOVE it!!! And mom wants to do some grow with me shots like this each session so look for more later - maybe 6 months or so :) Their house is amazing - they just moved in last Fall - so I was super excited to come and have my fun around their house. 

 

tried to cover his hiney with the hat, but he moved, but it turned out to be a great shot - cute hiney and all - he covered up the important stuff! and look closely at the shot on the right...the framed picture at the top of this picture was taken at their old house in front of their bookshelf of big brother when he was 4 weeks old - and same blanket too.

and this next one is AMAZING!! Ok - so we have all seen how the hats and bowls are so very popular for newborn shots. I like the look, but LOVE when it is their own hat that grandma knitted (we have one of those for this guy too, well his great-grandma knitted it) and then this bowl....it has been passed down in mommy's family and was actually used as a dough bowl by his great-great grandmother so many years ago and now here he is as a fresh newborn laying in all that history!! oh and on his dining table at the house he will grow up in!!

I so much love going to the homes of couples with their first little ones. It is such an AMAZING time and to watch mom and dad smitten over their babies makes my heart happy!

And this session was just that and more! Mom and dad are SO! IN! LOVE!

They are singing 'You are my sunshine' to little 'C' in the first shot. He quieted down almost immediately and just listened to his sweet parents' voices.
